Allen Edens is a Graduate Intern working towards his Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. He anticipates graduating in May of 2025. Allen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Freed-Hardeman University in 1998 and a Master of Science degree in Geological Engineering from Missouri Science and Technology in 2009. He is a retired military officer with over 35 years of service, including multiple combat tours.

Allen’s goal is to support counseling needs of clients through an integrative, Christ-centered perspective of clinical mental health counseling. He utilizes evidenced-based  counseling practices in addition to biblical resources and spiritual interventions. His primary counseling is individual therapy services for men, helping them become who God designed them to be both emotionally and spiritually. Allen also has a passion for counseling couples, specifically marriages, relationships, premarital counseling and blended-family support.

Special Interests:

Allen’s special interests include spiritual formation, veterans’ issues, understanding identity and self-concept, spiritual growth, relationship and grief counseling, conflict skills, life transitions, men’s health, stress-related problems, pre-engagement, and pre-marital counseling. Allen enjoys spending time with his wife, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren. He also enjoys running, hiking, lifting weights, shooting, reading, having a strong cup of coffee, and enjoying an occasional cigar.
